Silver Lining—A Solo Show

Silver Lining premieres latest sculptures and studies of the Checkmate Series since 2022. Developing simultaneously in philosophical research, the series plays with chess game elements and delves into the linguistic as well as pictorial and figurative presentations of Han characters used on the Xiangqi pieces. By transcribing these symbols into visual art, the artist aims to introduce the concept of shentigan (beyond bodily perceptions) and provide readings into images of coded metaphors.
